This week so far, weather or not
September 20, 2007 | In Personal | No CommentsAs I recently wrote, my week started off with a major headache, one that left me no other choice by to find my way into bed and stayed there for the better part of Monday. Sure I was up for a bit, wrote a blog post, but for the most part I was out cold.
For the most part the migraine continued through Tuesday, but seeing as I had a county board meeting, I had to work through it. There were some interesting things that went down at the board meeting, if you’re interested check out that edition of the Independent.
Wednesday was a long one. It started off with an environmental fair in Marshall that served as the backdrop for the Independent Farm feature for the week. I actually learned some interesting historic information about the region during a soil discussion. Good stuff.
I’ve been covering the Canby Mayoral recall stuff for a few months now. I’m not going to go into the details here, but it was in court on Wednesday. A judge will now decide how it will go forward. The interesting thing was its location in Benson. This afforded me a trip home to visit my parents (very briefly). It was good to see them after their vacation trip.
I had an interview scheduled that night in Lake Benton which made for a lengthy drive, but well worth it for the amazing story. Because the story hasn’t been published yet, I won’t talk about it here, but I will say look for a good uplifting story in Saturday’s Independent.
