September 17, 2007 | In Personal | No CommentsAs most people that know me know, I suffer from chronic migraines. I don’t like to complain about them or even really talk about them, but every now and then the reality of it comes through and I have to put down everything I’m doing and deal with it.
Today I had a pretty bad one. I woke up with it this morning so I slept in a little bit to try to shake it as best I could. After taking my usual dosage of migraine killers, I had it relatively under control enough to limp into work.
As I made one of the final turns into the Independent I almost got t-boned by an idiot driver that decided paying attention wasn’t part of her job. This of course made my manageable migraine, a full blown energy killer.
I made a deal with myself that I would make it through the day at work as long as I could. I made it to 3 p.m. before I had to head home. I don’t like cutting from work because of my migraines, but this one was bad enough that I needed to lay down.
From about 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. I was pretty much laid up in the bed. I’ve since shaken it for the most part, but I’ve still got a little bit of the yucks going for me.
Why am I writing this? In the slimmest of hopes that the person that nearly wrecked my recently paid off car is actually reading this – you really made my day a rough one. Thanks a lot. Hope not paying attention paid off for your day.
